Working as an Instructor in a team that delivers training across Marine Engineering Electrical Training group you will use your skills as coach and/or mentor to deliver successful Electrical Engineering training to the Royal Navy. No previous teaching experience required!
Responsibilities
- Deliver training modules within Electrical Marine Engineering to the Royal Navy
- Conduct both theory and practical training in Electrical Engineering
- Ensure outstanding relationships with the customer and within Marine Engineering Electrical training area
- Assist in maintaining and updating training documentation and assess student coursework to provide feedback on performance
- Utilise best practice across the establishment to inform and direct quality and improvement activities across RN training
- Be responsible for the duty of care and progression of training during delivery phase
Qualifications
- Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience within Electrical/Engineering
- Proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace
- Competent Electrical practical/hand skills
Desirable Skills / Experience / Qualifications
- Previous instructional experience in a military or civilian engineering environment
- Level 4 Teaching Qualification / DTC Defence Trainer Course or equivalent

This role is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non-working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro‑rata and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
