Overview

Join the Royal Marines and become part of the world’s most elite amphibious force. This role involves engaging in amphibious assaults, humanitarian aid, large‑scale combat operations, and supporting missions in diverse environments worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in dealing with man‑made, humanitarian and naturally occurring crises.
  • Deploy to and conduct operations in a variety of locations including coldest climes, hottest deserts, hostile jungles and high mountains.
  • Adapt to challenging conditions to achieve mission objectives.
  • Develop military skills and select a specialisation such as Armourer, Mountain Leader, driver or medical assistant.
  • Work as part of a cohesive team, building strong bonds of camaraderie and brotherhood.

Training & Development

Initial training lasts 32 weeks at the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines (CTCRM) in Lympstone. Subsequent training is provided throughout the career, with advanced options available as rank increases.
