We're looking for an Apprenticeship Assessor to support apprentices at HMS Sultan. You'll work closely with learners, training teams and key stakeholders to ensure apprentices receive the support they need to progress successfully through their Engineering apprenticeships within the general service branch of the Royal Navy. This is a varied role where you'll coordinate programme activities, monitor learner progress, provide guidance and support, and help maintain high-quality apprenticeship delivery. Working across a range of disciplines, you'll play an important role in helping apprentices achieve their qualifications and develop their careers within the Royal Navy. Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week HMS Sultan Permanent opportunity. Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC level).
What you'll be doing
- Supporting engineering apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey
- Managing a caseload of apprentices and conducting regular progress reviews
- Providing guidance, coaching and support to help apprentices stay on track
- Maintaining learner records and apprenticeship documentation
- Identifying learners who require additional support and helping them achieve successful completion
- Visiting training establishments, ships and naval units to support apprentices in their workplace environment
- Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
- Good IT skills using Microsoft Office and adaptable to a variety of inhouse systems
- Previous administration experience
- Ability to multitask and prioritise deadlines
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Familiarity with the engineering industry would be an advantage
- Knowledge of Apprenticeships and accredited courses.
- Coaching or mentoring experience, would be desirable
