Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering training to groups of up to 24 trainees in Electrical and Electronic engineering and machine principles.
  • Conducting practical lab sessions demonstrating key principles and supervising trainee experiments.
  • Marking and check marking assessments to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintaining and updating training materials in consultation with Training Design staff.
  • Provide Welfare and Duty of Care support to subordinates within your team, conducting mid period appraisals and writing routine reports on performance and potential.

Skills & Qualifications

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Teaching experience in an adult education environment is preferred; however, Defence Trainer Course training will be provided if required, with opportunities for further civilian teaching qualifications.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging learners.
  • The ability to work with others in the development of engineering training.
  • Qualifications: L3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Be a UK citizen or British Dual National, having lived in the UK for a minimum of five years continuously prior to application
  • Hold a full UK Driving License covering manual vehicles.
