Job description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Operative to join our busy site in Gateshead to work within the Specialist production team. The team is responsible for the production of a variety of documents and publications in large print, braille, and audio.

Reporting to the Specialist Production Print/Audio Lead, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Producing a varied range of products in accessible formats including Braille, Audio, and Large Print.
  • Delivering the allocated production work to meet agreed production schedules.
  • Working with speed and accuracy whilst maintaining agreed quality standards.
  • Packing goods ready for shipment.
  • Operating production line equipment e.g., packing machines, commercial printers.
  • Cleaning and maintaining work areas and machinery.
