Based onsite in Gateshead 5 days per week, this is a permanent position with contractual hours of 35 hours per week.

Are you an experienced compliance professional who knows how to protect income, manage risk and support business growth? This is a senior role with real impact. You will own and lead all customer assurance and compliance activity, making sure we meet current and future certification, audit and risk requirements across commercial and non‑commercial work. Your work will help us win and retain significant contracts, reduce risk and strengthen our competitive position.

You will lead ISO and security accreditations, manage customer audits and questionnaires, maintain the risk register and drive continuous improvement across operations. You’ll also set policies and processes, oversee disaster recovery planning, ensure teams are trained and security‑cleared, and manage the Assurance team budget.

We’re looking for someone with strong experience of managing compliance frameworks and certifications in a complex environment, who can influence senior stakeholders and work confidently with external auditors and customers. You’ll be organised, solutions‑focused and comfortable leading change, with the ability to explain compliance clearly and practically to people at all levels.
