Job title: Dispatch Production Assistants – Late Shift
Location: Gateshead
Salary: £27,000 per year / £15.16 per hour (inclusive of 20% shift allowance)
Package: 26 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays), which increases with service. Excellent pension scheme, staff discount scheme.
Contractual hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 10:30 PM)

Due to the exciting expansion of our services, the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) is launching a new late shift, and we\’re looking for dedicated Dispatch Production Assistants to join our team in Gateshead.

What you\’ll be doing:
- Following established production procedures across areas such as dispatch, braille, secure pin room, audio duplication, and print services.
- Operating specialist production machinery and carrying out basic maintenance.
- Assembling print and accessible format materials, ensuring consistent quality control.
- Performing final proofing and quality checks against agreed standards.
- Managing workloads in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while meeting service deadlines and maintaining quality.
- Supporting a safe workplace by adhering to all health and safety policies, including PPE use.
