Mencap are seeking Female Support Workers to join our friendly and dedicated team in Yaxley. As a Female Support Worker, you’ll have the chance to make a real and positive difference in the lives of people with learning disabilities. You’ll be supporting individuals with a wide range of abilities and needs, helping them live happy, fulfilling and independent lives. From supporting with everyday activities to offering emotional reassurance and encouragement, you’ll play an important part in supporting people to achieve the things that matter most to them.

This role requires you to be a driver. This role is open to female applicants only due to a Genuine Occupational Requirement, in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Contract options:
- 20 hours per week
- All of our services provide 24‑hour care. Rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance, giving you the opportunity to plan your personal and social life.
- There is also a non‑contractual sleep‑in available, paid at an enhanced flat rate of £64.20 per sleep‑in.
Mencap holds a Home Office sponsorship licence; however, due to current restrictions on our allocation of Certificates of Sponsorship, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. Applicants must therefore have the right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship.
All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
