Registered Service Manager - Hoddesdon in Taunton

Role Overview

We are looking for a full‑time Registered Service Manager to lead our service in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, supporting people with a learning disability to live the life they choose.

This hands‑on leadership role offers the chance to make a genuine difference every day. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred support while creating an environment where both colleagues and the people we support can thrive.

The role involves overseeing the day‑to‑day running of the service, providing clear leadership, developing staff teams, managing budgets, and building strong relationships with families, commissioners, and partner agencies. A key part of the position is maintaining high standards, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring ongoing compliance with CQC requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of care staff to deliver person‑centred support.
• Oversee day‑to‑day service operations and ensure compliance with CQC regulations.
• Develop and manage staff, including recruitment, training, performance reviews, and career progression.
• Plan, monitor and report on budgets, resources and quality metrics.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with families, commissioners, and partner agencies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong background in health and social care, ideally supporting people with a learning disability.
• Excellent people‑management skills and a practical, values‑led approach to leadership.
• Good understanding of what great support looks like in practice.
• Willingness to hold or obtain a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or equivalent).

• £37,259 per annum, pro‑rata + excellent benefits.
