Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in Askern, Doncaster. As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.
Our service is home to individuals who require support with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health needs, and communication difficulties. We need Support Workers to provide the physical and emotional support that our people we support need every day. This includes assistance with personal care, medication, finances, activities and everything else to help them achieve their goals and aspirations.
Qualities and Skills Required
- Relationship Building: Essential for gaining the trust of the people we support, establishing open communication, and building lasting relationships.
- Patience and Understanding: Important for navigating challenging situations effectively.
- Conflict-Resolution Techniques: Necessary for managing and resolving conflicts in a constructive manner.
- Must be a driver and hold a manual driving licence.

Contract Options
- Part time - 30 hours per week
- Days: Shifts Between 07:00-22:00
- Nights: 22:00-07:00
- Sleep ins paid at a flat rate of £64.20 per sleep.
- Must be flexible to cover weekends on a rota basis.
