Join Our Team as a Support Worker – Make a Real Difference in Omagh!

Location: Omagh
Contract Types: Full-time and Part-time (various hours and shifts available)

Are you a compassionate, patient, and dedicated individual with a passion for helping others? Mencap is looking for enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team in Omagh, where your role will have a lasting impact on the lives of people with learning disabilities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support people with learning disabilities in their daily lives and routines
  • Assist with personal care and medication, including showering/toileting and dressing
  • Help with finances and everyday tasks like shopping and bill payments
  • Encourage independence and social inclusion by supporting community activities and groups
  • Use Positive Behaviour Support strategies to enhance quality of life
  • Build trusting, meaningful relationships based on empathy and respect

What We’re Looking For:

  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts including evenings, weekends, and overnight
  • A positive, patient, and empathetic attitude
  • Willingness to register with NISCC and undergo an enhanced Access NI check

Contract & Shift Details:

Full-time and Part-time Contracts Available

  • Day Shifts: 12-hour shifts starting between 9:00 am – 11:00 am
  • Night Shifts: 9:00 pm – 9:00 am
    (Rota prepared 4+ weeks in advance to support your work/life balance)
