We have a fantastic opportunity for Support Workers and Relief Support Workers to join our Supported Living Service based in Linthorpe. You will work in our supported living scheme supporting people both in the home and in the community, promoting positive behaviour. You will contribute to maximising independent living skills for the people we support. Work will involve cooking, cleaning, shopping, leisure activities, and personal care if required. You must work flexibly across various shift patterns, including mornings, afternoons, sleeps, weekends, and bank holidays. Experience within the care sector is an advantage but not required, as full training will be provided. As a Support Worker you will provide outstanding support to help people live comfortably, dignified, liberated, and happy lives. You will have excellent communication skills and a caring, patient personality. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Supporting people to live independently – budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments, cooking healthy meals.
  • Relationship building – helping people understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
  • Community & Social Inclusion – supporting individuals to access and participate in local community and social events to promote life skills and individuality.
  • Personal care – helping people get ready for the day, prompting medication, assisting with bathing, showering, and bathroom use. Not all roles require high levels of personal care.

Qualifications: All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
