Overview

Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our team in Hexham.

As a Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs, and you’ll play a vital role in assisting with daily activities and providing emotional support.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with daily activities and provide emotional support as part of a care team.
  • Tailor care to each person’s needs while maintaining respect, dignity and independence.
  • Work within 24-hour services with rotas planned at least 4 weeks in advance to support personal and social life.

  • All our services are 24-hour care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life.
  • There is also a sleep-in option with an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.
  • All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
