Assistant Service Manager
We are looking for an Assistant Service Manager to support the Service Manager in managing four services in Leigh on Sea, Southend on Sea & Canvey Island. The role involves working with a diverse team of support workers and delivering services to individuals with learning and physical disabilities.
Responsibilities
Support the Service Manager in leading and motivating a team of support workers, ensuring compliance with best practice standards, and maintaining high quality service delivery. Act as a role model within the service, demonstrating best practice and enabling team development. Take delegated management tasks and participate in continuous improvement of support services.
Requirements
- Professional and experienced in working with people with learning and physical disabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and follow policies and procedures.
- Ability to work 37.5 hours per week, including 3 management days and 2 support shift days, with flexibility as required.
- Availability to work across 7 days per week with 2 off days, including early and late shifts, possible sleepovers, and one of two weekends per month.
- Driver’s licence preferable.
Working Hours & Conditions
Full‑time contract (37.5 hours per week) with a mix of management and support duties. The role requires flexibility to meet the needs of the service, including working nights, weekends and occasional overnight stays.
