We are seeking an experienced Senior Community Fundraising Officer to join our Community Fundraising England and Wales team. This role reports to the Senior Community Fundraising Manager. The Senior Community Fundraising Officer will play a key role in developing and delivering the Community Fundraising strategy, with a particular focus on growing income from community groups, corporates, trusts, grants and restricted fundraising.
This is a full‑time (37.5 hours per week), permanent role. The postholder will be required to work from Mencap’s London office two days per week, with the remaining days worked from home or remotely, recognising the importance of flexibility and a healthy work–life balance.
You will lead on the planning, delivery and project management of the Community Fundraising team’s products and campaigns, ensuring they are delivered to a high standard and aligned with strategic objectives. The core purpose of the role is to implement and deliver the community fundraising strategy, while identifying opportunities for growth and building a strong and sustainable pipeline across all community fundraising income streams.
The postholder will also be responsible for the management and delivery of mass participation fundraising products, including oversight of both financial and non‑financial KPIs. Performance will be measured against agreed targets, including income, budgets, KPIs, number of approaches made, sign‑ups and conversions, with success defined by the achievement of income and strategic objectives.
