Our Service is a Supported Living Service which provides individual support to one gentleman living in his own home. There is a void at the property that we hope will be filled by a new gentleman soon. We provide support to people with learning disabilities together with additional support needs (physical disabilities and communication difficulties).
The gentleman likes to go and watch Derby County matches, and has a season ticket, and has several social activities he does. He likes to experience new things and will look to you to suggest innovative ideas.
There will also be shifts to cover at another service, which houses 3 gentlemen with varying needs. This service requires moving and handling.
What we\’re looking for
- A genuine passion for supporting others.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
This role does not require you to be a driver, but it would be preferred.
