Mencap are seeking Relief Support Workers to join our team in Chelmsford.

As a Relief Support Worker, you\’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will work with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, providing emotional support, supporting independence, and helping with tasks such as cooking, cleaning, community outings, and appointments. Some moving and handling will be involved.

You will be working with a small, experienced team who have known the individuals for years.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Shift times:

All services provide 24-hour care. Rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance to help you plan your personal and social life.

There is also a non-contractual sleep-in option, with an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.

All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
