We’re looking for an experienced and driven Partnership Development Manager to join Mencap’s Corporate Partnerships team. As a Partnership Development Manager, you will secure and grow six- and seven-figure corporate partnerships that transform opportunities for people with a learning disability and their families. This is a strategic and highly visible role. You’ll translate Mencap’s organisational priorities into insight-led, compelling partnership propositions, building relationships with major corporates and positioning Mencap as a partner of choice.

Working across Mencap, you’ll co-create partnerships that are values-led, inclusive, and rooted in lived experience, delivering both income and long-term impact. This is a full‑time, permanent role (37.5 hours per week) based in London (Aldgate East), with an expectation of at least one day per week in the office. We offer a hybrid working pattern with a strong commitment to flexible working.

Mencap is entering an ambitious new chapter. With the launch of our Mencap 2030 strategy, new leadership, and significant organisational investment, we are scaling our impact, and corporate partnerships will be central to that growth. This is a new, high‑impact role created to unlock bold, sector‑leading partnerships. It’s an opportunity to shape how we engage with major brands, drive significant income growth, and deliver partnerships that influence both business and society.

If you’re excited by working at pace, creating strategic brand alignment, and securing high-profile, national partnerships that drive real change, we’d love to hear from you. This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of partnership fundraising at one of the UK’s leading charities.

You will:

  • Play a leading role in delivering an ambitious growth and transformation agenda
  • Help shape the inclusion agenda, influencing how businesses support people with a learning disability
  • Have the space to innovate, test new approaches and develop sector‑leading partnerships
  • Work across campaigns, policy, programmes and impact, contributing to long-term systems change
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, internally and externally, with high visibility across the organisation

What you’ll be doing:

  • Securing six- and seven-figure partnerships, including strategic, brand‑aligned collaborations and charity of the year programmes
  • Building and driving a high-value, multi‑year pipeline across priority sectors
  • Developing compelling, insight‑led partnership propositions aligned to organisational priorities
  • Leading on high‑quality pitches and negotiations with senior corporate stakeholders
  • Creating partnerships that deliver strategic brand alignment and mutual value
  • Working collaboratively across fundraising, communications, policy, programmes and impact teams
  • Ensuring partnerships are shaped through co‑production and lived experience
  • Using data and insight to inform strategy, innovation and growth
  • Acting as a senior ambassador for Mencap, with strong internal and external visibility

Above all, you’ll be values‑driven, ambitious and motivated to create lasting social change.

This isn’t just about fundraising, it’s about building partnerships that help create a more inclusive society. At Mencap, you’ll be part of a team that:

  • Puts people with a learning disability at the heart of everything we do
  • Is investing in growth, innovation and long‑term impact
  • Values collaboration, creativity and ambition
  • Is committed to belonging, flexible working and supporting you to do your best work

Mencap is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of learning disability and from all backgrounds. We are also committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. This role will be subject to appropriate pre‑employment checks.

This vacancy will close on 11 June. We reserve the right to close this role early if a suitable candidate is identified, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Apply now and be part of a team building a more inclusive world, through partnerships that truly make a difference.
