Senior Account Manager to join our Corporate Partnerships team.

This newly created role reflects Mencap's investment in partnership growth and offers an exciting opportunity to combine strategic account management with new business development.

About the Role

As Senior Account Manager, you'll be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of strategic corporate partnerships while developing a pipeline of new opportunities.

You'll work with existing partners to maximise engagement, income and impact, while securing new six and seven-figure partnerships that align with Mencap's strategic priorities.

This role sits within our

Relationships Fundraising Directorate and goes beyond income generation. You'll create purposeful, long-term partnerships that deliver real change for people with a learning disability and their families.

Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, communications, programme delivery and impact teams, you'll help create compelling partnership propositions and deliver exceptional partner experiences.

You'll also collaborate with colleagues who have lived experience, ensuring our partnerships are inclusive, authentic and truly impactful.

Please note: This is a hybrid role, with 1 day a week in the London Office, Aldgate East. At times this role will include UK-wide travel and occasional overnight stays.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing and growing a portfolio of high-value corporate partnerships.
  • Developing and securing new business opportunities, including six and seven-figure partnerships.
  • Creating and delivering ambitious partnership growth and stewardship plans.
  • Building influential relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase partner engagement and long-term value.
  • Delivering exceptional stewardship throughout the partnership lifecycle.
  • Leading partnership reporting, forecasting and portfolio management.
  • Maintaining accurate pipeline and income forecasting through Salesforce.
  • Collaborating across Mencap to develop innovative and high-impact partnership opportunities.
  • Acting as an ambassador for Mencap and our mission.

Essential requirements for the role

  • Experience securing six - and/or seven -figure, long -term corporate partnerships.
  • Experience managing and growing high -value partnerships, including six -figure relationships.
  • Experience securing new business and developing corporate partnership opportunities.
  • Strong relationship -building, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to develop compelling partnership propositions and account plans.
  • Strong financial, forecasting and reporting capability.
  • Confidence working across teams and using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
  • A collaborative, inclusive approach and commitment to involving people with lived experience.
