Overview
Mencap is seeking a relief Support Worker to join our team in Horwich Bolton.
We are looking for compassionate, dedicated individuals who enjoy supporting others and delivering person-centred care.
Responsibilities
- Provide care and practical support to individuals with learning disabilities in a 24-hour care setting, promoting independence and wellbeing.
- Support daily living tasks, companionship, and engagement in activities in line with individual care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, observe changes in wellbeing, and escalate concerns to the supervisor as appropriate.
- Follow organisational policies, safeguarding procedures, and promote a safe, inclusive environment.
Requirements / Qualifications
- A genuine passion for supporting others.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide suitable references.

- Days: Between 07:00 and 22:00; sleep-in options may be available with an enhanced flat rate payment.
- All roles involve working across shifts and may include a variety of hours.
