Mencap Cymru are looking for Relief Support Workers to join our teams across Conwy, North Wales. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering person‑centred support to people with learning disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation and medication management.
  • Assist clients to access the community, including attending GP, optician, dentist and other health appointments.
  • Conduct weekly grocery shopping and accompany clients to social events, hairdressers, shopping trips, theatre, cinema, and other leisure activities.
  • Support more independent clients to develop skills and enhance their independence, focusing on outcomes that matter to them.
  • Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Full, valid UK driving licence; having personal car access is beneficial.
  • Enhanced DBS check required for successful candidate.
