Responsibilities

Working within the Premises Department, the Plumbing Maintenance Operative will be responsible for the daily maintenance of water services in school buildings and facilities, including residential properties. The operative will also carry out general maintenance jobs as needed. The operative will manage work requests received, ensuring proactive and reactive maintenance is carried out to the highest standards in a timely manner. Work will require close liaison with other members of the Premises team. The operative will report to the Premises Manager.

RMS is a leading independent girls' day/boarding school with circa 850 pupils aged 2 to 18 and over 250 teaching, support staff and facilities. We are situated on a 300-acre parkland estate near Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire.

Employment Details

  • Full time, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum.
  • Salary up to £39,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
  • This is a permanent role requiring an 8‑hour shift pattern between 7.00am and 7.00pm, Monday to Friday.
