A vacancy has arisen in the department for which we are seeking to appoint a clinical research fellow on a fixed term basis for 12 months. The post combines in-patient and out-patient work, caring for patients with a range of haematological malignancies, and will comprise a high proportion of research work including clinical trials and laboratory research. The candidate will be expected to submit a MDRes under the supervision of Dr Taussig. One focus will be on arginine deprivation in acute myeloid leukaemia.

Person specification:
- Education: MBBS, or equivalent; MRCP, or equivalent; MRCPath Part 1, or equivalent
- Experience: Broad based knowledge and understanding of Haematological Oncology; Experience in Haemato‑Oncology; Experience of Clinical Audits
- Skills: Good presentational and verbal skills; Computer Literacy / IT Skills – appropriate to a clinical service using computerised record systems and electronic prescribing systems
- Personal Qualities: Self-motivated; Able to work as part of a team; Ability to work under pressure; Ability to conduct research
