The Royal Marsden Private Care is looking for a creative, collaborative and proactive Senior Marketing Officer to help drive impactful marketing activity across our sites in Chelsea, Sutton and Cavendish Square. Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You’ll play a key role in supporting and delivering marketing activity across The Royal Marsden Private Care, including:

  • Helping maintain and strengthen the Private Care brand across all channels and assets
  • Supporting the delivery of local, national and international marketing campaigns
  • Briefing and managing creative assets across multiple platforms
  • Developing compelling messaging and written content
  • Collaborating with digital media agencies and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting creative development across print, digital, video and social media
  • Producing monthly KPI reports and senior‑level PowerPoint presentations
  • Using Campaign Master to develop targeted B2B email campaigns for audiences including GPs and international referrers

Person specification

Education

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience

Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a marketing and communications role using all elements of the marketing mix – across multiple channels (both online and offline)
  • Proven track record for supporting the delivery of marketing programmes and campaigns – from initial brief to implementation and review
  • Experience of cross matrix working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders of all levels in the organisation
  • Experience of managing creative work (specifically making sure it is delivered following brand guidelines)
  • Experience of email marketing including working knowledge of database software

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written including brief writing, copywriting and presentations
  • Excellent knowledge of creative design principles – showing good creative appreciation and an ability to recommend direction
  • Good production awareness with experience of all forms of print and cost management and efficiencies
  • Excellent project management skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage many different marketing projects simultaneously and manage priorities accordingly
  • Good problem solving, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Effectively establish and report against KPIs which measure success, impact and effectiveness

Flu Vaccination – What We Expect of our Staff

At The Royal Marsden we have an immune compromised patient population who we must protect as much as we can against the flu virus. Each year, seasonal flu affects thousands of people in the UK. Occurring mainly in winter, it is an infectious respiratory disease capable of producing symptoms ranging from those similar to a common cold, through to very severe or even fatal disease. The wellbeing of our staff and patients is of the upmost importance to us, and it is the expectation of The Royal Marsden that all patient‑facing staff have an annual flu vaccination, provided free of charge by the Trust.
