The predicted salary is between 113565 - 150569 β¬ per year.
The post holder will be expected to maintain a high-quality thyroid and lymphoma service for patients from St Georges Hospital and other SWL partners. The post holder will be based in the Sutton branch of the hospital but will be required to attend St George's hospital for a lymphoma clinic. Around 100-120 new thyroid cancer patients are anticipated with care being initially shared with Dr Kee Wong. Weekly cross site paper rounds, RMH MDT and SGH MDT provide governance and support. Around 40 new lymphoma patients per year are anticipated, with responsibility only for radiation delivery. The consultants and patients are supported by relevant CNS teams. Participation in clinical trials is also expected.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide and co-ordinate the Clinical Oncology management of patients with thyroid cancer and lymphoma to ensure best practice, working closely with all members of the multi-professional team.
- Support the care of inpatients with lymphoma (clinical oncology only) and those attending for radioiodine therapy.
- This post will support the provision of radiotherapy for lymphoma patients referred from other RMH consultants and units across SWL.

Person specification:
- Qualifications: Eligible for full GMC Registration, CCT in Clinical Oncology or equivalent, MRCP and FRCR or equivalent, Higher Research Degree.
- Experience: A broad-based experience in radiotherapy, a relevant interest in clinical research, experience in advanced radiotherapy techniques for lymphoma and systemic therapy for thyroid tumours, evidence of scientific publications in clinical oncology.
- Skills: A manifest interest in the clinical oncology lymphoma and thyroid, interest and experience in service development and improvement, management training and experience in medical audit.
- Personal Qualities: The ability to work in collaboration with consultant colleagues in other disciplines and across RM Partners, commitment to achieving excellence, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, a patient centred approach to delivering care, committed to personal and professional development, experience in developing effective and collaborative working relationships across networks.

Occurring mainly in winter, it is an infectious respiratory disease capable of producing symptoms ranging from those similar to a common cold, through to very severe or even fatal disease.
The wellbeing of our staff and patients is of the upmost importance to us, and it is the expectation of The Royal Marsden that all patient-facing staff have an annual flu vaccination, provided free of charge by the Trust.
