For Admin and clerical roles, we are looking for Medical Secretaries, PAs, Finance workers, IT workers, Receptionists and General Admin Services support workers.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide high-quality administrative, clerical and secretarial support to a range of clinical and non-clinical departments across the Trust.
- Deliver an excellent customer service experience when dealing with patients, visitors, staff and external organisations, both in person and over the telephone.
- Manage appointments, diaries, meetings and room bookings, ensuring efficient organisation and coordination of activities.
- Maintain accurate records, databases and electronic systems, ensuring information is entered, stored and retrieved in a timely and confidential manner.
- Process correspondence, emails and incoming enquiries, prioritising and responding appropriately within agreed processes.
- Prepare, collate and distribute documents, reports and other administrative materials to support departmental operations.
- Ensure compliance with Trust policies relating to data protection, confidentiality, health and safety, equality, diversity and inclusion, and customer service excellence.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and provide flexible administrative support to meet changing service needs.

Education/Qualifications:
- Educated to GCSE standard (A-C) or equivalent to evidence: reading, writing, oral communications for duties of role.
- Evidence of further professional development.
Experience:
- Experience in office administration and of working in a busy environment.
- Experience in office administration in an NHS setting.

Flu Vaccination - What We Expect of our Staff:
At The Royal Marsden we have an immune compromised patient population who we must protect as much as we can against the flu virus. Each year, seasonal flu affects thousands of people in the UK. Occurring mainly in winter, it is an infectious respiratory disease capable of producing symptoms ranging from those similar to a common cold, through to very severe or even fatal disease. The wellbeing of our staff and patients is of the upmost importance to us, and it is the expectation of The Royal Marsden that all patient-facing staff have an annual flu vaccination, provided free of charge by the Trust.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
