Working Hours: Full time – 39.5 hours per week (excluding meal breaks). Rotating shift pattern: weeks 1–2 06:00 – 14:24, week 3 10:00 – 18:00. Required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays 06:00 – 14:24 (with a weekday day off).

Role Overview: With a fleet of over 49,000 vehicles, Royal Mail invests in modernising its fleet. You will perform a full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repair procedures on vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment. You will use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair of light and heavy goods vehicles, and have access to specialist tooling in fully equipped workshops.

- Use personal toolkit for routine maintenance and repair of light and heavy goods vehicles
- Utilise specialist tooling and shared equipment available in workshops
Qualifications:
- Fully qualified IMI Level 3 mechanic (Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent)
- Own personal toolkit for standard repairs
- Proven vehicle technician experience on a wide range of vehicles (e.g. LCV/HGV)
- Full manual UK driving licence, preferably HGV licence with trailer experience
- High working standards and pride in work
- Flexible to shift rota and willing to support team
