Location: Swanley Delivery Office, BR8 7AA

Job type: Permanent contract

Hours: 37.00 hours per week, 5 days across Monday - Sunday, working 09:00 - 16:00 and 14:00 - 19:30. Due to operational demand, you will be required to work 2 in 4 Sundays at Oprington Delivery Office between 09:00 - 16:00.

About the role: Every year we make billions of deliveries possible. Whatever the weather, we show up, delivering from exam results and tax returns to wedding invites and online purchases. As a Postie you deliver for your local community, caring about the people and the businesses in the area.

Responsibilities: As a Postie, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items such as food products or alcohol in line with Royal Mail business standards.

Qualifications:

  • Upbeat, independent and self‑motivated
  • Organised, punctual and ready to deliver great customer service
  • Friendly, people‑oriented and a community friend
  • Must be comfortable walking long periods and working outside in any weather
  • Strong sense of community and pride in your work
  • Has a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
