You will be responsible for leading a team of over 20 managers and around 400 frontline staff during the night shift. You must inspire employees, coach them to reach their potential, and ensure operational targets are met to deliver a fast, high‑quality, cost‑effective service to customers.
Responsibilities- Lead and motivate the night shift team to achieve operational targets.
- Maintain and improve operational performance using KPI/metrics analysis.
- Plan shift activities, manage risks and monitor progress.
- De‑brief staff, drive continuous improvement and manage change.
- Ensure safety compliance and uphold a strong commercial focus.
- Experience of successfully managing a large operation and achieving targets.
- Experience leading a large team at a 2nd‑line manager level.
- Expert operational knowledge of the plant and letter processing.
- Project management skills, including risk assessment and deployment.
- Strong data analysis and problem‑solving ability.
- Stakeholder management experience and ability to build senior relationships.
- Enthusiastic, resilient leadership with a drive for performance improvement.
- Experience in leading major change initiatives.
- Safety knowledge, PIC training and familiarity with safety tools.
- Commercial understanding to influence others.
22:30 – 07:00, Monday to Friday (with flexibility required to meet business needs).
