Shift Maintenance Team Leader (Late Shift)
Royal Mail is undergoing a major technological transformation to a mechanised parcel sortation process. We are looking for a Shift Maintenance Team Leader to support this change at our North West Super Hub in Warrington.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Team Leader you will report directly to the Operational Shift Manager. You will provide proactive technical leadership and ensure engineering maintenance is delivered to defined standards by a competent engineering workforce in a cost‑effective manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate maintenance techniques to achieve asset performance and availability design criteria.
- Provide technical training, coaching and development to the engineering maintenance team.
- Assist in risk assessment for automation equipment and deliver safe system of work modifications.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and regular development meetings to maintain high technical standards.
- Offer technical direction in keeping with business values and challenge unacceptable behaviour or harassment.
Qualifications
- Extensive background in automation engineering and maintenance.
- Hold an Engineering qualification.
- Comfortable providing technical leadership to a large team.
- Able to offer technical direction to senior stakeholders in the wider business.
- Willing to complete an ILM coaching course within the role.
