Overview
Seasonal Mail Sorter role at Royal Mail, Hemel Hempstead, England, United Kingdom. Get involved in the festive period and help ensure cards, gifts and parcels reach their destinations on time.
Responsibilities
- Unloading letters and parcels from vans
- Moving mail through the centres
- Sorting letters and parcels by postcode
Shift patterns and pay
- Lates: 14:00 – 22:00 (£14.48 p/h)
- Nights: 22:00 – 06:00 (£15.74 p/h)
- Weekends: Various shifts available (as above p/h)
Important: night shifts are not available to applicants under 18.
Many sites offer an onsite canteen, social areas for breaks and access to a subsidised gym.
What you’ll need to join the team
- A positive attitude and team spirit
- Organised and comfortable working in a busy environment – independently or as part of a team
- Comfortable working on your feet, pushing/pulling trolleys (up to 250 kg with wheels) and handling items up to 11 kg
- Willingness to be flexible and switch tasks as needed
You don’t need any previous experience – full training will be provided.
