Your Role As a Post Person with Driving is to be the face of Royal Mail in your community, ensuring deliveries are made come rain or shine. You’ll navigate your delivery routes, provide exceptional service, and ensure every parcel and letter reaches its destination safely. Important to Know: While some roles involve driving, the majority of the work is on foot, delivering letters and parcels directly within the community. Responsibilities
- Delivery duties: Deliver letters and parcels along assigned routes, on foot and/or by vehicle as required, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Customer service: Provide friendly, helpful service to customers and represent Royal Mail in the community.
- Route navigation: Plan and follow delivery routes, adhering to safety and efficiency guidelines.
Qualifications
- Driving Licence: Full, manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a bag weighing up to 16kg.
- Flexibility: Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.
