Responsibilities
- You will perform a full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of HGV vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
- You will use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair of heavy goods vehicles.
- You will have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.
Qualifications
- Qualified mechanic: you are fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Heavy vehicle maintenance or equivalent).
- You have your own toolkit for standard repairs.
- Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, for example HGV.
- Valid UK driving licence: You hold a full manual UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience.
- High working standards: you take pride in your work and do what is necessary to make sure the job is done effectively.
- Flexible to service demands: you are able to work on a flexible shift rota and are always willing to support your team where necessary.

We're recruiting an IMI Level 3 qualified mechanic at Leeds Workshop on a Permanent contract, with the potential to earn up between £50,000 and £70,000 including overtime.
Working Hours: Full time. Average of 39.5 hours per week over the 5‑week shift pattern including a 30‑minute unpaid meal break (rotating shift pattern; week 1: Monday 06:00‑15:30, Tuesday, Friday 06:00‑15:00; week 2: Monday, Thursday 21:30‑06:00; week 3: Wednesday, Sunday 06:00‑14:30; week 4: Monday, Friday 12:30‑22:00; week 5: Monday, Friday 06:00‑14:30). You will be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays and Sundays (with two days off in the week).
