Delivery Postie with Driving

Location: Garforth Delivery Office, LS25 1BB
Job type: Permanent contract
Hours: 30 hours per week, working 5 days across Monday – Sunday, working either 08:00 – 14:00 or 14:00 – 20:00. Sundays on a rota basis at Seacroft delivery office 10:30-16:30.

Responsibilities

Deliver parcels and letters to customers as part of a local postie team. Provide friendly, professional customer service and represent Royal Mail in the community. This is a physical role requiring walking outdoors in all weather.

A Bit About You

  • Upbeat, independent and self-motivated
  • Organised, punctual and ready to deliver great customer service

  • Happy walking for long periods and working outside in any weather
  • Has a strong sense of community and takes pride in what you do
  • Has a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points

  • A guaranteed hourly rate of £13.06 p/h (paid monthly and adjusted to your working hours)
  • Paid overtime, enhanced rate of 1.25x for hours over 40 per week
  • 22.5 days holiday, rising with length of service (adjusted to your hours if below 40 per week)
