Overview

Delivery Postie with Driving – Royal Mail

Location: Northampton Delivery Office, NN4 9DR (Office relocation from 15 September to Swan Valley Delivery Office, Northampton, NN4 9DR). Job type: Permanent contract. Hours: 30 hours per week, 5 days across Monday to Sunday, 08:00–14:00. Flexibility required to cover high volumes/annual leave; you may work as late as 19:00. You will be required to work weekends with one in four Sundays on a rota basis at Crow Lane Delivery Office (NN3 9UB).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver mail and parcels as part of a daily route.
  • Cover high volumes and annual leave as required.
  • Work weekends with one in four Sundays on a rota basis.
  • Operate between 08:00 and 14:00, with potential extension to later hours as needed.

  • Upbeat, independent and self-motivated
  • Organised, punctual and able to deliver excellent customer service

  • Willing to walk for long periods and work outdoors in any weather
  • Strong sense of community and pride in what you do
  • Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
