Job ref: 326283. Starting salary of £24,210 (£12.21 per hour) increasing to £25,679 (£12.95 per hour) on completion of 6 month probation period. Plus, an additional supplement of £842 per annum pro rata, night shift allowance and excellent benefits (based on a 38 hour full time week). You could earn a total package of circa £30,000 per annum, including excellent benefits (based on a 38 hour full time week with overtime). Contract Type: Permanent. Working hours: 8 Saturday only hours per week with opportunity for overtime. Typical attendance is Saturday 08:00‑16:00. Location: Parcelforce Worldwide Newcastle, Unit 3 Drum Road Chester Le Street DH2 1AE.

About the role:
We’re on the lookout for an excellent Collection and Delivery Driver to join our dedicated team, support our growing business and exceed our customers' expectations. First things first, you’ll start your day by planning your delivery route and carrying out safety checks on your vehicle. Then you’ll be busy collecting and delivering parcels to households and businesses. You’ll go the extra mile for our customers as you deliver everything from birthday presents to vital business information.
About you:
We’re looking for someone who is naturally friendly, positive and proactive, seeking a long‑term career in an ambitious and growing company. A brilliant team player with the ability to build good relationships with everyone you work with – always seeking the best results for our customers. You’re able to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 30kg. You have a full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address) covering up to 3.5 tonnes (Cat B). Ideally you have a clean licence with no more than 6 penalty points, and you will be required to show your licence at your assessment.
