Looking to build a handsâon career and learn while you work? Join Royal Mail as a Construction Apprentice and help shape the buildings and sites that keep the country connected. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding and highly technical Construction Engineering team, developing inâhouse solutions for new build, property improvement and consolidation projects across the Royal Mail estate.
As a Construction Apprentice, you'll be part of Royal Mail's inâhouse Engineering team, supporting construction projects across the UK. You'll help with new buildings, site improvements and upgrades, and learn how big projects are planned and delivered.
You'll:
- Support construction and engineering projects
- Help with planning, meetings and working with suppliers
- Visit sites across the UK and learn how projects run on the ground
- Help create simple drawings and layouts for buildings and equipment
- Support safety checks to keep people safe on site
- Look for ways to improve designs, save money and reduce carbon
You'll work with lots of people, including engineers, project managers and contractors, and will be a customerâfacing member of the team. This apprenticeship will involve travelling and may require some overnight stays.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has (or expects to have) Grade 4 or above in English, Maths and Science
- Enjoys learning and wants to build a longâterm career
- Cares about health and safety
- Is happy to travel around the UK and visit sites
- Enjoys teamwork, problem solving and trying new ideas
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
