Mail Sorter – Glasgow Mail Centre, G21 1AA. Job reference: 325704. Job type: Fixed Term 6 month contract. Hours: 35 per week, 5 days across Tue–Sat, between 14:00 and 22:00. Each year, we make billions of deliveries possible. You could be part of the team that makes it happen. Bring trust to the doorstep as a Mail Sorter, keeping our Mail Centres running like clockwork 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so we can deliver for the people.
It’s a shift like no other centre; you will cover various indoor roles in a warehouse environment. On your feet and keeping up the pace, you could be unloading mail from vans, moving it around in trolleys, sorting parcels and letters manually or operating machinery. A mail centre can process over a million items in a shift and you’ll be a valuable part of making that happen. And you take it in your stride. Because we deliver much more than just letters and parcels. We deliver for the nation.

What We Do For You
To deliver on our ambition we want the best and that’s why we’re delighted to offer competitive pay and benefits for a permanent role within our sector. For bringing your best and serving our customers with pride, you can expect to receive:
- A guaranteed hourly rate of £13.06 p/h (paid monthly and adjusted to your working hours).
- Paid overtime, with an enhanced rate of x1.25 for any hours worked over 40 hours a week.
- 22.5 days holiday, rising with length of service (adjusted to your working hours if below 40 hours a week) and the option to buy extra leave each year.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-40 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 40 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.
