Hours: 25.0 hours per week, working 5 days from Monday to Sunday, shifts between 09:00-15:00 and 14:00-19:00. Be prepared to work Sundays.
As a Delivery Postie with Driving, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of items – from exam results and tax returns to wedding invitations and online purchases – to customers across the local community. Your role involves driving in all weather conditions, walking long distances while carrying parcels, and ensuring timely and courteous service.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver packages, parcels and letters to customers in the assigned area.
- Operate and maintain the delivery truck and related equipment safely.
- Walk long periods and work outdoors in any weather.
- Provide excellent customer service, interacting with residents and local businesses.
- Adhere to delivery schedules and handle any issues promptly.
- Accept occasional overtime and extra hours as required.
- Upbeat, independent and self‑motivated.
- Organised, punctual and dedicated to delivering great customer service.
- People‑person with a friendly presence in the community.
- Strong sense of community and pride in work.
- Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
