We’re now looking for an Import Account Manager – Import to play a pivotal role in expanding our share of the import parcels market. This is a high-impact, senior commercial role where you’ll shape strategy, influence key stakeholders and build partnerships that deliver sustainable growth at scale.
About the role:
- Retain and grow a portfolio of c.20 strategic import and third-party partner accounts, delivering revenue of £50–60m.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive growth, share of wallet and long-term customer value.
- Build senior-level relationships with global eCommerce businesses, marketplaces and 3PLs.
- Act as the voice of the customer internally, influencing senior stakeholders and resolving issues effectively.
- Identify and mitigate competitive threats, positioning Royal Mail Group as the preferred import partner.
- Lead the deployment of new products, campaigns and tailored solutions to meet partner needs.
- Provide accurate forecasting, reporting and market insight to sales leadership.
- Collaborate closely with international stakeholders and overseas teams, including China-based partners.
About you:
- A proven track record in sales or strategic account management, consistently delivering against stretching revenue targets.
- Experience managing high-value commercial partnerships within eCommerce, parcels, logistics or adjacent sectors.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce business models, marketplaces and reseller networks.
- Excellent commercial judgement with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Confidence operating in complex, matrixed organisations with multiple stakeholders.
- A proactive, challenger mindset with the ability to identify white-space growth opportunities.
- Strong written and presentation skills, able to build credible business cases and proposals.
- International or cross-border experience, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cultures (desirable).
