Pertemps is thrilled to partner with Royal Mail, the nation\’s trusted postal service, to recruit HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers at their bustling Swindon Distribution Centre.

What you\’ll be doing

  • Driving HGV Class 2 vehicles across the Royal Mail network
  • Trunking parcels and mail between depots nationwide (no multi-drop)
  • Maintaining high safety and professionalism standards
  • Following working time directive (WTD) and driver hours regulations
  • Performing vehicle checks and manual entries on digital tachograph cards

Responsibilities

  • Trunking parcels and mail between depots nationwide with minimal manual handling
  • Ensuring timely, safe deliveries and adherence to site procedures
  • Maintaining clean and compliant vehicle condition and documentation

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence, held for at least 1 year with 180+ days of commercial driving experience
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DD/DR/IN/CD/TT endorsements)
  • Strong geographical knowledge & professional approach
  • Comfortable with manual tachograph entries
  • Willing to complete a DBS security check
  • Successful completion of site assessment and induction
