Pertemps is thrilled to be working in partnership with Royal Mail, the UK\’s most iconic delivery service, to recruit HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for their busy Exeter Distribution Centre this festive season. As part of the Royal Mail fleet, you\’ll be trunking parcels and letters between depots nationwide – no multi-drop, no heavy lifting, just straightforward trunking in clean, well-maintained vehicles. With shifts planned a week in advance and guaranteed pay, it\’s a great way to earn extra money in the run-up to Christmas!

Responsibilities
- Trunking mail and parcels between Royal Mail depots across the UK
- Operating Class 1 vehicles safely and professionally
- Following drivers\’ hours and WTD regulations
- Completing digital tachograph entries accurately
- Representing Royal Mail with pride and professionalism
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence held for at least 1 year
- Minimum 180 days\’ commercial driving experience (insurance requirement)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 penalty points (no DD/DR/IN/CD/TT endorsements)
- Strong geographical knowledge & a professional attitude
- Ability to complete manual tacho entries confidently
- Willingness to complete a DBS security check
- Successful completion of site assessment & induction before starting
