Pertemps is delighted to be partnering with Royal Mail, the UK\’s most trusted delivery network, to recruit HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for their busy Bridgend Distribution Centre. You\’ll be at the heart of the action – trunking parcels and mail between Royal Mail depots nationwide. There\’s minimal manual handling, clean, well-maintained vehicles, and weekly shift schedules planned in advance so you can enjoy a stress-free season behind the wheel. Your role
- Trunking mail and parcels across the Royal Mail network (no multi-drop!)
- Ensuring safe, efficient driving at all times
- Keeping on top of drivers\’ hours and WTD regulations
- Completing manual tachograph entries accurately
Requirements
- A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence (held for at least 1 year)
- Minimum 180 days\’ commercial driving experience (insurance requirement)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 minor points (no DD, DR, IN, CD, or TT endorsements)
- Good geographical knowledge & strong work ethic
- Willingness to pass a DBS security check
- Completion of site assessment & induction prior to first shift
