About the Role
Royal Mail is accelerating its Out‑of‑Home (OOH) strategy, expanding our parcel locker network to deliver convenience and reliability for customers. We need a strong leader to ensure our locker network operates at the highest standards and supports our ambitious growth plans.
- Own and execute the maintenance strategy for Royal Mail’s locker network.
- Ensure network health and KPI performance, targeting 98% availability.
- Lead reactive and preventative maintenance programmes across the UK.
- Manage contractors and field engineering teams, holding them accountable for standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering and commercial teams to accelerate locker deployment.
- Establish governance and reviews to monitor performance and compliance.
- Develop and structure a team to scale an OOH locker network while delivering efficiency and outstanding service to our customers.
About You
- Significant experience in maintenance and engineering, including preventive and reactive maintenance.
- Proven ability to lead continuous improvement within a recognised framework.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing geographically dispersed teams.
- Ability to manage contractors, suppliers and complex stakeholder relationships.
- Skilled in designing or restructuring teams for future needs.
- Comfortable managing budgets and multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels, including unionised environments.
- Experience operating at senior management level in a dynamic, large‑scale organisation.
