Parcel Delivery Driver – Guildford Delivery Office, GU1 1AA.

Job type: Permanent contract.

Hours: 35 hours per week, 5 days across Monday - Sunday, 13:00 and 21:00. Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday, according to a local rota/plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepping your van and workload for the day.
  • Using route-planning technology tools to ensure each parcel gets to the right place, at the right time.
  • Delivering parcels and providing customer service as a positive ambassador for Royal Mail.
  • Working as part of a team of multi-drop drivers delivering across the assigned area.
  • Delivering more than parcels by contributing to a positive customer experience.

  • Upbeat, self-motivated and thrive whilst working independently.
  • Organised, punctual with great initiative.
  • Committed to the delivery of great customer service.
  • Comfortable interacting with customers, acting as a positive ambassador for Royal Mail.
  • Happy to work in the afternoon and early evenings.
  • Enjoy a multi-drop driving role, delivering parcels across the week in the assigned area.
  • Possess a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.

  • A guaranteed hourly rate of £13.06p/h (paid monthly and adjusted to your working hours).
  • Paid overtime, with an enhanced rate of x1.25 for any hours worked over 40 hours a week.
  • 22.5 days holiday, rising with length of service (adjusted to your working hours if below 40 hours a week) and the option to buy extra leave each year.
