We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Electrical Service and Maintenance / HVAC Engineer covering the North East of England.
Salary: £39,148.30 per annum, 22.5 days annual leave, rising to 25 after 5 years’ service plus bank holidays.
Contract: Permanent, Full time, 37.5 hours per week (excluding meal breaks). Typical attendance 08:00 until 16:00 Monday to Friday, but flexibility is essential. Coverage includes the following postcodes: (NE) Newcastle, (SR) Sunderland, (DH) Durham, (DL) Darlington, (TS) Teeside. There may be a future requirement to join the out of hours callout rota. A vehicle will be provided for required travel.
Key Aspects of the Role:- Analyse and understand complex technical issues in relation to electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and lighting systems.
- Manage the delivery of planned and corrective maintenance to meet the performance measures detailed in the contract.
- Liaise with customers’ representatives on a day to day basis to ensure customer requirements are fully met.
- Check and ensure all appropriate and approved paperwork is completed.
- Make personal judgments on how to undertake work to achieve cost, quality and contractual objectives without jeopardising safety in any way.
- Act as a role model for safety, setting an example to colleagues and customers.
- Manage the relationship with the customer, and liaise with customers to ensure that the customer is fully informed and project a positive professional image of self and Royal Mail P&FS.
- Report to Area Maintenance Manager.
- Must hold 18th Edition Electrical certification.
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent in either HVAC, service & maintenance, electrical engineering, / F-Gas / City and Guilds 2079 in Air Con and Refrigeration.
- IOSH membership.
- Ideally you will be IPAF and MEWP trained and qualified, and be comfortable working at heights.
- Certified electrical qualification, 2391 electrical testing inspection (or willing to undergo training).
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Applicants must hold a full manual UK driving licence (no endorsements preferable).
- Computer literacy skills an advantage.
