We are now recruiting for a Fabric Technician covering the North East of England. Salary - £32,774.12 per annum, 22.5 days annual leave, rising to 25 with 5 year’s service plus bank holidays. Contract Type Permanent, Full time. Typical attendance will be 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Friday. You will cover postcodes (NE) Newcastle, (SR) Sunderland, (DH) Durham, (DL) Darlington and (TS) Teeside. There may be a future requirement for you to join the out of hours callout rota.

About The Role

You’re the primary contact with the end users or main customers and will work closely with colleagues including Building Engineering Technicians, Asset Technicians across the business, and with the Area Maintenance Manager. You’ll provide knowledge of the Building Fabric industry to the customer, guaranteeing a first-class service is always provided to ensure their premises are secure and safe at all times. You’ll apply your skills and technical knowledge to a range of different situations that require previous experience and judgement to solve fabric related problems or to ensure completion of projects. You’ll ensure full compliance with RMPFS health and safety policies and procedures to ensure safety of colleagues, customers, and the public.

About You

We are looking for someone who is computer literate, particularly in electronic management systems and email, with effective communication skills being able to actively listen and transmit important messages to the customer, at all levels, to understand their requirements. You will have a sound knowledge and practical experience of carpentry and wet trades and have a good knowledge of Building Fabric product. A full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points is required.
