Competitive Salary, 4,800 car allowance or £4,300 cash equivalent, Full family private healthcare, 18% annual bonus potential, generous annual leave offering of 27.5 days, plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days after 10 years’ service

About the Role
The Electrical Design Engineering Lead will report into the Head of Design Engineering and have direct line management 1 currently although there are plans to expand the team moving forward. You will be responsible for delivering high levels of electrical engineering competence to a team of highly skilled technical engineers.The role will work actively as part of the Design Engineering team, striving to modernise and improve existing processes whilst driving new and innovative solutions into our current ways of working to improve business performance.
This is a key leadership role in our journey to bring the engineering vision to life, responsible for managing and developing a key team within engineering and supporting the growth of the engineering design strand.
You will also
- Lead electrical design of in-house technical solutions
- Lead testing and implementation plan for electrical bias projects within the design engineering team
- Play a leading role in driving engineering design projects, innovations and solutions both centrally and locally
- Identify future opportunities to drive in-house manufacturing capability to deliver key elements of engineering design projects
- Champion new processes to drive in-house capability, innovation and people development within engineering
- Work closely with maintenance teams to drive reliability into existing automation fleet
- Have the ability to lead, inspire and energise a team of technical experts to deliver high performance
About You – To truly excel in this role, you will possess, and be able to evidence, the skills and experience listed below:
- Experience in detailed product design and development within an automated environment
- A strong Engineering background with proven ability to demonstrate intuitive thinking towards engineering problem solving and solution delivery
- Strong knowledge and experience of using CAD/CAM software and AutoDesk/ Eplan experince
- Ability to meet product development deadlines and quality parameter targets
- Ability to work on own initiative and actively as part of a team
- A highly motivated individual with a proven track record of successfully delivering improvements and initiatives in a challenging environment
