We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Multi‑Skilled Building Services Engineer (Electrical & Plumbing/Heating) covering North and West Yorkshire.

Salary - £39,148.30 per annum plus standby allowance £290 per week, when on rota, and appropriate overtime rate when attending the call, 22.5 days annual leave, rising to 25 after 5 years’ service plus bank holidays.

Contract: Permanent, Full time 37.5 hours per week (excluding meal breaks) - typical attendance will be 08:00 until 16:00 Monday to Friday however, flexibility is essential. You will cover postcodes (LS) Leeds, (HD) Huddersfield, (HX) Halifax (HG) Harrogate, (YO) York and (WF) Wakefield. You’ll be required to join an out of hours callout rota 1 in 6 weeks covering a wider area.

Flexibility is key — you'll be working across multiple sites within a defined area, and a company vehicle will be provided to support your travel. Your excellent communication skills will help you build strong relationships with both customers and managers, keeping everyone informed and aligned. Strong organisational skills will also be essential to manage your workload effectively and ensure smooth project delivery.

The Role

As a Mobile Multi‑Skilled Building Services Engineer (Electrical & Plumbing/Heating), you'll provide technical diagnosis and solutions, performing routine maintenance checks in relation to Gas and Hot & Cold Water systems along with electrical maintenance. You'll perform fault finding, maintenance, repair and installation of these systems and will regularly liaise with customers.

About You

  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 in both Plumbing & Heating and Electrotechnical Installation or Maintenance
  • Experience maintaining gas equipment / pipe work and hot and cold water systems.
  • 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
  • Experience of completing job certificates in an electronic format
  • Full UK Driving Licence is required, as this vacancy will involve travel within a specified area for which a van will be provided.
  • Demonstrable experience of liaising with customers
  • Experience of working alone or as part of a team
  • A good level of PC literacy
