Location: Wigan Delivery Office, WN1 1AA

Job type: Permanent contract

Hours: 30.00 hours per week, working 5 days across Monday – Sunday, working between 15:00 and 21:00

Weekend work: Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday, according to a local rota/plan.

You will be part of a multi‑drop driver's team, delivering parcels and ensuring our customers' days are a little bit brighter. Beyond driving and deliveries, you will prep your van and workload for the day, use route‑planning technology to ensure each parcel reaches its destination on time, and represent Royal Mail as a positive ambassador.

  • Possess a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points

  • Guaranteed hourly rate of £13.06p/h (paid monthly and adjusted to your working hours)
  • Paid overtime, with an enhanced rate of x1.25 for any hours worked over 40 hours a week
  • 22.5 days holiday, rising with length of service (adjusted to your working hours if below 40 hours a week)

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35–40 hours per week are listed as full‑time. However, any role under 40 hours per week will be classified as part‑time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you are expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
